EFCC ACADEMY

Welcome to EFCC Academy!

The EFCC Academy is situated at No. 1, Idoma Way, Federal Housing, Phase 1, Karu Abuja, Nigeria. The Academy was established in 2005 as the Training and Research Institute (TRI), and shortly after re-designated EFCC Academy in 2012. The mandate of the Academy is to develop and deliver training for the staff of the Commission, other law enforcement and security agencies, stakeholders in MDAs and other Anticorruption Agencies (ACAs) within and outside Nigeria. The activities of the Academy are in consonance to Sections 6 and 11 of the EFCC Establishment Act (2004).

The EFCC Academy was initially saddled with the responsibility of coordinating all training and capacity development activities of the EFCC but is now broadened to support other Law Enforcement Agencies both within and outside the country by sharing its wealth of experiences and expertise. The Trainings offered are designed to meet the needs of the Commission and other Law Enforcement Agencies across the globe. Its programmes are targeted and situated to specialized skills developments in investigation and prosecution of criminal activities related to corruption, fraud, money laundering and terrorism financing.
The Academy actively collaborates with development partners and other donors to deliver trainings that are of benefit to the Commission and the country at large.

The Academy is currently divided into two major Divisions: Administration and Training. The Administration Division handles all administrative activities whilst the Training Division manages training activities, and is further structured into two Sections: Training Coordination Section and the Faculties.

The Training Coordination Section ensures the successful implementation of the various training activities (i.e. Capacity Development Program, Cadet Training, Networking and Collaboration, Certificated Courses), but draws its resources partly from the Faculties Section.

The Academy is currently at the verge of offering certificated courses including Certificate Programmes, National Diploma, Post‑Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Law Enforcement Studies, Anti‑corruption, Cybercrimes, Digital Forensics and Forensic Accounting, in affiliation with reputable Tertiary Institutions both within and outside the country.
